Working to improve women’s health across key stages of their life

For a woman, each life stage comes with new challenges and triumphs with respect to their reproductive and sexual well-being. At Exeltis UK we champion women’s health at key stages of life, to provide a range of products to meet different needs – to ensure that a woman’s health can be the best it can be at every step along their journey.

Pregnancy

During pregnancy, many women will experience nausea and vomiting – commonly called morning sickness although symptoms may occur at any time of the day. This can be very unpleasant and can disrupt daily life. It usually stops after 16-20 weeks of pregnancy. Treatments for morning sickness can vary, from diet changes to medication.

Contraception

Contraception is normally used to prevent pregnancy and is available in a variety of forms. Some hormonal contraceptives have other uses, such as treating acne, or to manage the symptoms of conditions like endometriosis or polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Many different types of contraception are available in the UK.

Menopause

As women age, their hormone levels change, resulting in the gradual decrease and eventual stopping of ovulation and periods. During menopause, these changes can often result in unpleasant symptoms like anxiety, hot flushes, brain fog, lack of attention and irregular periods. There are many ways to manage menopause symptoms.
